Is Podcasting Dead Already?

This may be a bit premature, but I had to ask. Admittedly, I joined the Podcasting bandwagon late, but I’ve been disappointed at the waning support of some of my favorites. It seems that I am uncovering the weakness in the Podcast. I’m sure that someone has already covered this somewhere, but I’ll do it again if that is the case.

The problem is that amateurs are charged with coming up with something creative to say and then actually produce the product. If you search through the podcasts on iTunes you’ll see what I’m talking about; ProPHP Podcast hasn’t been updated since November and half of the other Podcasts I listen to have been reduced to 2-3 minutes of crap.

Oh well, I guess I’ll just be looking for new favorites.

Podcasting got off to a very fast start. Now that all the hype is over, only the serious shows will thrive. This is a good opportunity for people that produce regular good shows to gain listeners like yourself.
