This is just typical of me to get fired up about something and then let it fizzle out. This blog had some very high expectations in my eyes before I realized that my genius insights were being wasted on the few. I have learned a thing or two about blogging from this effort though. First, if you get on technorati and you talk about popular stuff you get a lot of traffic, mostly anonymous. However, if you offer a useful tool on said popular topic people will comment. If you preach, people don’t care much about your opinion. And lastly, blogs have become such an obsession among web surfers that if you offer something of value once, people will continue to visit your site for months despite there being nothing new to offer.
So I thought I would at least drop in a few tidbits to fool you into wasting another month of your life waiting for me to post some new ground-breaking stuff. Here goes …
First of all “customer” and “service” should no longer be recognized as valid english words when used in close proximity to one another, as there is no such thing in this county any longer. It should be called “customer accomodation as long as it is not inconvenient for our underpaid and underqualified employees or a drain on our profits”
Next, Kinkless GTD or kGTD is the greatest addition to the Getting things done movement since moleskines and the hipsterPDA. If you are a lazy hapless slacker like me you should check it out. It requires OmniOutliner Pro, but it is worth the $30+, and who are we kidding … most of you are pirates anyway! ![]()
Lastly, MY new organizational efforts are taking me down a modified Agile method, so brace yourselves for sporatic and incomplete advice on that on this blog.
